Completing the Look {Finding the Perfect Accessory}

I am so excited to be blogging every week until our January wedding!  Since we are about 2.5 months away from the big day, the very big items like venue, dj, photographer and florist are all completed and now it is all about the details.  The details really can be overwhelming but we are trying to just have fun!

I am currently loving the idea of adding an extra special accessory to my "bridal look".  My fiancé, Eric, has been amazing through the planning process and I truly think he has great taste (He likes to remind me all the time that he is the one who picked out our wedding invitations).  We have made every decision together as a team except my dress which is why I am so excited for our first look.  Eric has no idea what my dress looks like or any details of my "look" for the day.
Some ideas I am currently obsessed with:
Cardigans
I love how you can tie in one of your wedding colors by just slipping on a cardigan!
Bride in Cardigan
Seriously in love with this sequin cardigan/jacket look!
Sequin Cardigan Bride
Hair Bling
The headband and the bun...so chic!
Bridal Headband
I love this look.  It reminds me of a more subtle take on Anne Hathaway's headpiece.
Wedding Head Piece
Personalized Rings
Your engagement ring and wedding band will still be center stage with these delicate bands.  I love how you can stack them and they would be a great bridesmaid gift too! (Plus they are only $35!)
Yes Ring
Would you wear any of these accessories on your big day?

Nail'd It!

So while I was debating on hairstyles last week, I also began to  wonder what I should do with my nails. To bling or not to bling? It's a silly topic to some, but to others this is something fun to discuss and to distract you from your endless to-do list and piles of DIY supplies. (That "others" is me right now...big time!)

For me, freshly polished nails are a cherry to a perfect look. I'm not big on acrylic so I know I won't go that route but what's a girl to do? Our colors are various blues, creamy tans and earthy greens and browns. So I was thinking of adding a bit of blue in a fun way without going overboard maybe with something like these.

I'm a huge fan of the ring finger jazzed up with  something sparkly and these looks are just the ticket.

These twists on the classic french manicure are fun too!

Between all the big decisions and DIY goof-ups (more on this in another post), it's nice to focus on some small fun details like nails. My mind can relax a bit before it's back down to business. Time is flying by and I can't wait to make more planning progress to share!

How big are nails to you on the big day? Flashy or plain, where do you stand?

bridal hair {inspiration}

Those of you who have been following me on Engaged and Inspired since October of 2011 probably remember my hair post, "Wedding Hair Bliss in Beverly Hills." My dear friend, (and hairstylist) Ashley, and I had fun in the salon trying different up-dos. Well, as crazy as this sounds, that was back on January 31st! It's now July 31st and I'm just 3 months and 1 week from my big day. Ashley and I will be doing our final hair trial soon....She is getting married in just over a week from now, so I'll wait a little bit to schedule an appointment ;-)

In the meantime, I revisited some bridal hair inspiration. Here's what I found that caught my attention.

I can't wait to do my hair trial again and decide on what style I want. I'm pretty sure I want something sideswept.... how about you? Have you had your hair trial yet? Remember to take a look at the tips I posted from before! :)
