Falling From the Sky

I've been such a jet setter this past two weeks, that I have little time for wedding planning, or much else for that matter! Later today I am going to announce the winners of the last two giveaways and give my wedding update and so much more. For now, I'm loving these little hanging additions, so I thought I would share some of my inspiration!

Contain The Pretty

I have been going back and forth and pretty much in every direction trying to figure out what vases would be the best for the centerpieces. There are so many options that I love, and so many options that would work. I am pretty sure I stress the uber-small details far too much, but on the wedding day, that is what will show though! Here are a few of my favorites looks! I think I am going to do with the simple and not-so-full centerpiece look as I just seem to be so drawn to the simplicity.

Fall Table Number Inspiration

I am slightly obsessed with insanely incredible table number ideas. It is one of those insanely small details that you can do so much with, and people do take notice. I'm still working on mine, although I think I have at least made some progress. What is everyone else doing for table numbers??

Kraft Shipping Tags {For Sale}

These days I am getting quite creative with my wedding day projects. With that comes the obvious problem of "extras". So, here we go again with the next item I have up for uber-cheap sale, kraft paper shipping tags.

Talk about obsessions, THESE I am obsessed with. There are so many ways to use these for your wedding that it is almost ridiculous. Let me just put it this way, stamps, baker's twine, kraft shipping tags, and keys. These are my escort cards. And no, these won't be like escort cards you have ever seen before.

Anyways, if you are in the market for some medium Kraft Paper Shipping Tags to make your wedding a bit more detailed and a bit more personal, here you go!

I am selling each for 25 cents or 100 for $20! Just like with the Baker's Twine for sale, it is cheaper than anywhere I have seen.E-mail me: littlemissengaged@gmail.com to order.

Wedding Wednesday Finds

Consider this my version of the so loved "Friday Finds" posts. Truth be told, I quite the folder of "finds" years worth, to be exact! So some of these may be things we haven't seen on the 'sphere for some time now. It's nice for me to dusk off these old photos and it is also funny to see how my style changes. Kind of like when you clean out your closet and can't believe you ever wore that shirt. Same thing, but with weddings styles! So here goes nothing! Enjoy some pretty for the day.

I'm highly considering a small cake. One of these little mini beauties. They are so sweet and delicate, I just want to stare at it all day.

A good sign never gets overlooked. I love when people are coordinated enough to create a full style for their wedding. I am glad I have Ian to design everything for me ( really, what would I do without him?) otherwise you would see no paper products at all creative at my wedding!

Obsession with this color palette and these shots. Srsly to die for.

Who's mocking up a candy table? This one is so very cute, and with the pops of blush? Love it.

And of course, a vintage camera. LOVE it.

As far as my wedding plans, I am getting somewhere. I realized that I have been freaking out about the design of the space way too much. All my "details" are really small totally personalized things that will make the event ours in every way we look at it. I don't want it to be a "set" like a play would have, but instead, just a bunch of those little things that mean so much to us.

So, I'll let Holman Ranch take the cake in terms of the set (I couldn't have found a better place to do so) and I am going to focus on those things that make Holman Ranch ours and ours alone.

That being said, here we go with the DIY projects. First up: Escort Cards. Everything is in the mail and that will be starting oh so soon!

PS: I still have tons of Baker's Twine, Kraft paper shipping tags, and white 4x4 gift boxes for sale. If you need any supplies for super dooper cheap, just e-mail me! (allison@engagedandinspired.com)

PPS: What do you think I am using this PPS to say? You got it, The Inspired List! We have over 20 amazing giveaways (literally, I'm fully jealous of the prizes) for brides and vendors! Not to mention a site that is going to blow your mind and revolutionize how you find your vendors (while staying totally in budget)! I know, I can't wait either. Only a few more weeks. Oh and send some mental love Ian's way for this site, he is working his little butt off! Again, what would I do without him?

Paper Straws and Many Other Party Supplies

Finding favorite crafting shops is one of my favorite things to do. They inspire me to do more creative things (that will never look as good as that. I swear these people have magical hands!) but nevertheless, they make me feel like things are possible if I just open my mind up to the ordinary. Ok, that all sounded very fairytail-esque, but it still holds true. I posted a bit back about my extreme love of striped straws, but you wouldn't believe how incredibly hard these things are to find. I don't even know of many other places that sell them besides Fort & Field. So today, I am giving you all the heads up on where to find striped straws, amazingly cute cookie boxes, striped bags, and so many other great items that will make your craft projects SO much easier, and so much cuter too. I mean, honestly, look at these things.

Anything and everything you need to make cute little favors! PLUS, do you see these number push pins? How cute of an idea is this for the escort card table. Escort cards and kraft paper tags would be adorable. And of course, PAPER STRAWS! Who's favorite is that?? Mine of course!

Check out all these little musts and so much more at the Fort & Field shop as well as their Etsy Shop. Oh and make sure you check out the blog as well.

Update: The Inspired List, an all new way to search for vendors, is launching October 12. Make sure you are signed up to receive an e-mail update when the site launches! Also, find out how you can be involved now!

For the Love of Twine

Baker's Twine has been a lovely addition to the wedding world (and just about everywhere else!) for some time. I am totally in love with the way it looks and all the different uses for it! Really, they seem to be endless. I am planning on using these for my invitations, place cards as well as for the wedding favors. But I may sneak it in a few more places here and there too.

So many great ideas huh?? In my search for twine, I realized how expensive everyone was selling it for. So, I ended buying a huge bulk of it with all the different colors (cause I didn't know which color I wanted) and ended up with SO much twine. I decided to start up a little Etsy shop and sell it for SUPER cheap. I want other brides to be able to get the quantity they want without spending $8 or $10 on it. So, I have started to list a few ( but I have a long way to go with my photography and creating the store front) for anyone that is in need of some super cheap twine. $1.5 for every 25 yards and $4 for 100 yards. Oh and I also have about 200 of those white boxes above in case your wedding favors are along the lines of something wrapped in a cute box!

Love all of these ideas so much! I'm excited to wrap up tons of stuff in cute twine! Below are the four colors I have available. You can buy it on Etsy (though not all the listings are up yet) or jut e-mail me allison@engagedandinspired.com with what color and how much!

Clockwise: Green/White, Navy blue/white, Baby blue/white, red/white.

Shipping is $2.00 anywhere in the US!

Happy Twining!

Striped Straw Love

It has started! I feel totally different now that I have a venue picked. The ideas flowing like you wouldn't believe! But that is also where the problem lies. I don't want to give up all the details prior to the wedding happening because a) people that are coming to the wedding read this and b) I don't want the wedding to come and have all my ideas be "last weeks inspiration". So, I'm going to figure out how to play with it so there is are still some surprises, but you all stay in the know on all the plans! So now for today. I have been looking for straws like these everywhere, and I finally found a place to get them. I do want these for my wedding, but I actually wanted to find them for summer parties at our new house. There are so many times to use these little cute accessories, that you might as well just do what I did and buy a variety of colors! I price-checked, these are the cheapest! Check out this Etsy shop.

Oh and Ian and I are working on this new project, which surprisingly should be done way sooner than expected! If you want to add some feedback, as a vendor or bride, fill out this survey which also adds you to our big giveaway!

{Sweets} Dessert Must-Haves

First off, thanks to everyone who has entered the giveaway so far! Remember, there is a prize for one bride and one vendor! So get going with those entries if you haven't already! Now onto some devilish fun....as we get to sit and look at all these desserts that we want to be in our mouths! But instead, we are dieting until the wedding. Shucks. Well, at least we get to look at the amazing shots of yummy desserts, right?

I know I have posted before about macaroons, and what can I say, I just can't seem to get enough of these babies. The colors, the shapes, the taste, there just isn't anything wrong with macaroons. I'm trying my hand at making home-made macaroons in a few weeks. I don't know how it will go, but I'll definitely have an update after I am done.

Whether you are making a macaroon cake, plan to use these as your favors, or are just offering them on your dessert table, french macaroons will just add that something extra for your wow-factor wedding. I should probably figure out how to add these into my wedding, or maybe my bridal shower??

Cookies and Milk. If you can make cookies and milk look like a gourmet dessert, then props to you. This simple, childhood dessert has really come up there to become such a unique idea for a wedding. Oh and milk bottles! You could do so much by adding milk bottles! So amazing :)

And of course, cupcakes! These little mini cakes can be the most amazing thing ever! The options of decor are insane, and you could pretty much add them to any event and make them look epic. And is that "Tiffanys Treat" photo not the greatest thing ever?? It was for a bridal shower. The whole idea is just amazing!

Light Up My Life

I'm trying to play it calm and act like everything is ok right now- but it's so not, and unfortunately I don't think I am very good at hiding it. After my horrible venue meeting on Sunday, I can't help but be incredibly discouraged right now. I can't look at the same venues, and the same sites all over again. It's driving me nuts. And the worst part is that it's so all my fault. So not only am I discouraged, I feel so guilty for finding the perfect place, a place that Ian loved probably more than I did, and then taking that chance away. Wow- what a great feeling.

So this morning was quite challenging. I am officially engaged and uninspired. I know that's bound to happen every now and then though. So in my search for wedding inspiration and things I love, well I don't know anymore because I can't even picture the wedding!

At least I know that these things will light up my life and will always be in my wedding vision. Let's just hope that vision has a venue with which to blossom into an actual event.

Sorry for the vent- I'll get back on my feet soon enough I hope and be back to battery with a new venue to show off soon :)

Thanks for encouraging words via Twitter as well. You guys are all amazing!
