Here We Go Again

We interrupt our regularly scheduled virtual-wedding-eye-candy for another one of my personal posts to reach out to someone who may be stumbling upon this...(for everyone else: if you want to know some relatively pointless stuff about me, you can read it too.) So, here we are again, this time for two reasons. First because this link has all the answers to the questions you asked in your last letter and is essentially the only way that we know of to be able to be in touch. But the second reason is there is something that needs a signature... (I don't know how that sentence could have sounded anymore weird and mysterious...but i don't know how to say it without being weird and mysterious??? ) Point is, that's why I am writing again.

And now for the PS: Since I always love uber-updating you with the occurrences of my life, let me think about what new and exciting things there are to say. Still busy as ever, and since it is summer, I started riding my bike again!  Oh, Bri is preggers! (I know that's not family or me related, but I know you would want to know...if you don't already) She is having a little boy. :)

And while we are on the subject of babies, when am I having babies do you ask?? October 2011 is preggo date! :) Ryleigh Aiden, Reaghan, Jonah Aston, and Brooklyn Wyatt will be arriving! (haha-Ian is still against "Aston" and "Brooklyn" but I have time for convincing, right??) Anyways, Bri is having a babers-which is exciting...and as you can tell, I have all my names picked out. But for now, I'll stick to planning the wedding and get to babies when I get to them.

Talk Soon?? And try the link...K bye!

(for anyone else reading this-consider this my copyright for baby names)

Talking Catering Over at Tweet My Wedding

As you may know, I write for the Tweet My Wedding Bridal Blog each Friday. I love that I have this opportunity to connect up with so many brides and talk about everything wedding! The more opportunities to talk about weddings the better, right?

This week I am talking about the absurd quote that I received from a caterer! The ridiculous portion is the amount they charge for staff, gratuity and taxes. I'll give you a hint, it's more than the cost of the food!

I would love to hear thoughts about the option I have to make the food ourselves. We are chalk full of pretty amazing cooks, so it would taste absolutely amazing, but is that one more thing I want to take on??

Read the whole post for more, then let me know your thoughts!

Happy Birthday Bear!

To all you wedding junkies: sorry for all the non-wedding related interruptions! :) Ok, back to the post: I was trying to find pictures of us and I couldn't find any! (except that one that I put on a mug for you...remember that?? It's just not a very good pic, but I do use that mug every Sunday night when I have my coffee!)

First of all, as far as the blog goes (from the other day) , apparently you can try it again....Ian said something about cookies being disabled?? I don't know, but he fixed it so you should be able to log in. Oh and make sure you use the www. Here is the link again try it again! Hopefully this can be a way for you and your fam to stay more in touch!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Yayy! it's your birthday! Exciting :) Happy birthday to you! I love you and I miss you!

(Wow that was a lot of exclamation points in one line!)

PS: You got a special mention by Grubgrade. Look at the end under "other" if you want.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!

Happy Birthday Lizzie! So glad we get to be a part of each other's lives from the wine nights to the wedding planning, and everything in between it has been amazing to have you all there to talk to and spend time with.

PS: After weddings we get to have BABIES! :)

Getting to Know Eachother – When we met…

Hello Again! I absolutely love this portion of my blog as I get to hear some incredible stories from all of you! Today's topic: How we met! Interesting stories always come out of this question, just like those great (and all completely real) stories from When Harry Met Sally (My favorite movie!).  I am very excited to hear all the non-traditional meetings and how they have turned into the incredible journey you have had since.

My Turn: When we met, we didn't know where it would lead.

As far back as I can remember we have known each other. When I was about 8 his sister and I were best friends and my cousin (who I am very close with) was his. The point when I really took notice of him was about 8 years ago. I was going to school in Oregon, but we spent the majority of that first summer together. That first summer was the point where I had taken notice of him and developed my "crush". Some of my favorite memories come out of that incredible time. June 27, 2002 was our first kiss :) We spent a lot of time together thereafter.

In the years to come we led different lives, I was away at school and he had moved on. In my heart I always knew that I would marry him but that didn't really become something until years later in 2006. I came back from school and we started dating-and that is how the new story began-which lead to where I am now, engaged to be married to this man.

Your Turn:

When we met....(fill in your blank!)

Time to let all the amazing details loose on the comments! :) When and how and everything in between!

PS: Want to see the past "getting to know each other" segments?? How did he propose? What are your wedding colors? What are your favorite wedding details?

Spring on the Runway – Bay Area Runway Show

I wanted to let all you Bay Area locals know about this upcoming runway show in case you wanted to take a break from wedding planning for an afternoon of tea, cupcakes and fashion! This show will feature the latest spring collections from 20 local independent designers. The show takes place at the Ainsley House in Campbell, CA on Sunday June 27, 2010. I have another project, Aspiring Couture, which is an online boutique featuring the work of independent designers. I love supporting independent fashion whether it be day-to-day collections or bridal fashion. I absolutely love the unique and creative designs done by these amazing artists and want to do all I can to get these amazing and artistic pieces out there.

I have taken a lot of inspiration from weddings and I am very excited to incorporate that into the fashion show decor. This will definitely give me practice for the wedding, right down to the VIP favors I will be making :)
