Soft and Simple by Carly Bish

This shoot pretty much speaks for itself. The gorgeous colors

This wedding was put together by a group of talented wedding vendors in Washington to establish a working relationship while pouring over such beautiful inspiration. From Carly, "Establishing good relationships with people and wedding vendors I can trust is a pretty big deal. Being able to say confidently to brides, “If you’re looking for a _______, you should definitely check out _______,” is such a relief, both for me and the bride." This couldn't be more correct and I admire their approach in "testing" vendors before referring. You know you're in good hands now.

As far as the shoot goes, it pretty much speaks for itself. The colors are bold, the lighting is soft and the shoot is just plain beauty.

Oregon Charm Wedding by Christin Rose

This Willamette Valley wedding is a perfect example of the magic that is Oregon. The fall colors of this wedding match the space and the scene perfectly. Her dress is very fairytale-esque which makes for some great photos as can be seen below. The rustic venue offered plenty of greenery for an enchanting event.

{Guest Post} Escort Cards by Every Last Detail

Today's post comes from the always fabulous and always amazing Lauren from Every Last Detail. Her blog is so incredibly inspiring and is a definite must-read for all you brides out there. And now, here you go! When Allison asked me to guest post, I was thrilled and SO excited! I wanted to do a post that's true to my own blog, and so I thought I would do an extended, more detailed take of my weekly {Detail To Love} feature.

This {Detail To Love} isn't just a current love of mine- it's long lasting. One of my absolute favorite wedding details ever. What might this detail be you ask? It's escort cards and items! Note: I add in items because it's becoming popular to use actual items (commonly doubling as favors) to escort guests to their seats as opposed to the traditional cards, and because I LOVE them!

The greatness of escort cards and items is all in how they look. They could be set up on or in something different, or the cards/items themselves could be completely unique and reflect the whole style of the wedding flawlessly. Let's take a look at some of the awesome escort card/item setups I'm loving....

Traditional...

Go the traditional route and add your own twist to it with different patterns of paper!

Decorative...

Add a little something to your traditional escort cards and voila, you have adorable escort cards with a little pizzazz.

Cards but not really....

Use something that meant to be an escort card and just attach the names to them. With something like the below example, you could even have your tables named with the colors, and not even numbered!

Hanging cards...

Oh how I love hanging things! Having your escort cards hanging is a great way to grab people's attention!

Photo by Cheri Pearl, via Style Me Pretty

Vertical display...

This escort card display is another hanging one, but this time the cards are on a magnetized board with a fabulous frame. Another great way to get guests' attention!

Escort items...

And finally, my favorite. These little books have the guest name on the spine, and the table number on the front as the "title". They doubled as guest favors, and added a fabulous element of decor to the whole wedding!

There are SO many different ways to display escort cards, and I'm pretty much obsessed with them all- that is, as long as they're not traditional! Tell us, what are some of your favorite ways to see escort cards/items?

I hope you all have enjoyed me sharing my love for escort details! A big huge thank you to the fabulous Allison for letting me guest blog for you all!

{Guest Post} White Romantic Wedding by Blush Printables

Today's my birthday. :) Luckily I am in New York to celebrate the big 2-3 just right! And luckily for you guys, I am posting an uber amazing, uber creative, and uber everything else shoot. I'm. In. Love. Let's just say that I will definitely be pulling some inspiration from this shoot and adding it into my little wedding plans. Without further ado, I give you Jen from Blush Printables as our surprise blogger! And this shoot will anything but disappoint on this amazing Thursday that is my birthday. Enjoy! Lace covered mason jars, antique typewriters and rustic birdcages were blended together to create the ultimate vintage-romance wedding.  Photographed by Michelle of Shadowbear Photography, this Florida wedding is full of inspiration and charm.

Baby’s breath and hydrangeas fill mason jars wrapped with lace while a vintage typewriter is set out for guests to leave a little note. Escort cards, gently hung around twine, float above the rustic table for guests to find their seats.

Rosie and Michael’s delicate wedding invitation was carefully designed with a vintage border. Their wedding colors, moss green and plum, were used throughout their wedding day stationery.

Every last detail of this vintage-romance wedding was carefully put into place. Chalkboard name cards, each handwritten, were set beside each place setting while custom menus rested on top. The menus, boasting the couple’s favorite foods, mimicked the intricate vintage design from their wedding invitations.

Marit Hanson Wedding Invitations

Marit Hanson Wedding Invitations is a San Francisco based paper designer who creates some wonderful invitation and Save The Date pieces. She works with custom designs or has a selection of created designs to choose from. My favorite is the Save The Date collection that she has put together. Most designs have a colorful envelope to fit perfectly with the designs. It is pretty amazing to send out invites or save the dates with interesting envelopes as the recipients get excited before they even know what to expect.

Check her out on The Inspired List and make sure you check out her website as well. She posts monthly downloadable calendar creations which is so great of her!

{Wedding Wednesday} The Inspired List Edition

I love The Inspired List. I am not saying that just because I made it (well, Ian made I dreamed it into life!) but also because of the vendors that make up The Inspired List. They really are inspiring. I am awe struck at some of the most incredible vendors that have joined the ranks to compile the most user-friendly and amazing vendor guide out there. For this weeks wedding wednesday, I wanted to share a few really amazing shots from these vendors. Turns out, there were so many that I couldn't add as many as I wanted, so a follow up post may be in order for next week.

Mae Mae Paperie is a Los Angeles paper Designer. I love the colors and textures of this design, it's beautiful.

David Rohr Floral Studio is a florist located in Palm Springs. These floral arrangements are just to die for! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Crimson Poppy is a florist in Oklahoma City. But there is a twist, she is a paper florist. That amazing bouquet was made entirely of paper flowers. Incredible.

Tamra-Marie Artistry is a make-up artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been very obsessed with this shoot for a while and it never gets old. The make-up is perfect for the shoot.

Dana Bartone is a make-up artist based in New York. This is such a great look. The style is so complete and the make-up just makes it that much better.

Jospeh was Here is a photographer based out of Houston, TX. Not much to say about this photo except that it is shear perfection. It really is perfect.

D Park Photography is a photography company based out of Los Angeles. Dying of the pretty that this photo brings. The lace accent in the background just completes the whole feel of the photo.

Laura Ashbrook Photography is a photographer based out of Washington DC. This white and simple shoot is so very pretty. These elegant details, that dress, and the color palette couldn't fit better together.

So there you have it! The wedding wednesday finds of the day. Which is your favorite? Make sure you to check them all out, and for more amazing vendors, check out The Inspired List.

The Inspired List Gets a Few Updates

Well, that isn't entirely true actually, but we are simplifying parts of the site and making things better each and everyday. I have some wonderful updates for all of your brides and vendors out there.

{The Stats} We launched 1 month ago. Can you believe it has only been a month?? In that time we have added 230 vendors to the site all around North America. The feedback has been absolutely amazing and brides are using the site with success! We know that we need to add at least 1,000-2,000 more vendors ASAP to make the site incredibly easy and beneficial to use, but this definitely isn't a bad start!

{City Search} We know that the city search is where we are getting the most feedback. Yes, it has extreme potential, but yes, we definitely need to make it better. We have launched two new features to make searching by city a lot simpler. The cities with the most vendors listed in then will appear on the "Top Cities" list. Also, brides can easily search "more vendors in that state" to broaden their search more. Next up will be vendors being able to be listed in multiple cities! Stay tuned for that.

{Giveaways} We have given away over $2,000 in prizes since The Inspired List has launched. And we aren't even close to done yet! Check out our current giveaway for 100 free holiday cards from MagnetStreet. We also have a vendor giveaway with the prize being an iPad for premium vendors who sign up for The Inspired List. Let's also not forget about the videography discounts and giveaways that we are giving away too!

{Vendor Tags} Vendors, you can now promote your listing on The Inspired List super easily on your blog! Go to "My Account" on The Inspired List and on the main screen you will see a tag for you. It is programmed to have YOUR photo and will link to your listing on The Inspired List. This makes it very simple for you to spread the word, so go for it!

Look how simple that is! Go grab yours right now and add it to your blog or sidebar!

{Thank You} Thank you to everyone who has been apart of The Inspired List thus far! We have been working very hard to increase the vendor list, make searching simpler and to really create a site that brides can use and find extremely valuable to their planning. We would love to hear stories of people who found a vendor through The Inspired List, hear any feedback (good or bad) about the site, or suggestions of things we should add.

    Boston Wedding by Heather Parker

There is something so fun yet elegant about this wedding. It seems rather romantic and fun, of course, with that Amsale dress, you can't go wrong in the romance department. What about the color scheme? The bouquets were a light pink with bows in black and white. The wedding cake also was white with elements of black done in icing, along with pink floral design. They chose the accent color route which I happened to adore! Heather Parker is a member of The Inspired List. Search the Inspired List for more Boston Wedding Vendors.
