Hello and Happy New Year! I cannot believe 2012 is already here. I am extra excited for the new year because 2012 is our wedding year! Just 6 months to go! It is actually starting to feel close and I'm sure the time will fly by, so let's celebrate, shall we? No matter what time of year it falls, a wedding is a celebration, and no celebration is complete without a little bubbly...
...and a little sparkle.
So, here's to 2012. I wish you happiness, joy, and of course, love.

Merry Christmas and Happy 6th day of Hanukkah! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season with family and friends. With the end of 2011 in sight, I realize our wedding date is quickly approaching! It is time to start thinking about the little details that I hope will set our wedding apart from others. Two of my favorite little details are hand painted signs and DIY pennant flag banners. These details are common in rustic, outdoor weddings and while our garden wedding will be taking place indoors, {I was worried July would be too humid, even in the evening} I hope to be able to incorporate some of these pretty little touches into our day!

How cute is that dog? I wish I could incorporate my pup, Cooper into our wedding, but I'm pretty sure our church would not approve! What would a garden wedding be without flowers, right? Our July, garden inspired wedding reception will be held in a glass conservatory, already full of gorgeous, summery flowers and hanging plants, so I want to keep the table centerpieces simple and elegant. I haven't quite finalized our color scheme, but I do know blush pink will be making an appearance : ) Here are some of my favorite floral centerpieces.

There are many creative ways to ask your favorite ladies to accompany you on your big day. I knew I wanted to present each girl with a small gift as I asked them to be a part of our wedding. I searched the internet long and hard to find the perfect little something. Here are some of the gorgeous things I found.
I finally stumbled upon the perfect idea on etsy. I purchased a simple tag and attached it to a bottle of the girliest bubbly I could find.
The tag is from Almond Works on Etsy and it was a huge hit with my girls. I loved every reaction I got from "I am saving this forever!" to- "Of course, I will be in your wedding! Let's drink this right now!" It was a nice way to honor and celebrate with a few of the most important ladies in my life.

My fiance, Dan, and I met on a boat, {and he grew up on the Jersey shore} so, it seemed only fitting that we incorporate a nautical element into our wedding. We decided on a nautical themed engagement shoot and I immediately began scouring the internet for inspiration.
After much planning and multiple emails to and from our fabulous photographer, Amanda, we made the shoot come to life.

{The Details} The shoot took place on a little island off the Jersey shore. The lifesaver was a styrofoam one I found on the internet, that I was able to stencil with supplies purchased from a craft store. I searched everywhere for a blue and white beach ball and eventually located this one online, which worked perfectly! I knew I wanted to recreate the running shot from my original inspiration, as I am a runner and Dan incorporated an element of my love for running into his proposal. I think our photographer captured my inspiration perfectly and I love how we were able to include Dan's family's boat into the shoot!

About Me: I was born and raised in New Jersey. My fiance and I met on spring break cruise our senior year in college. Somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic, we met at a New Year’s Eve themed party. My oh-so-witty {future} fiance turned to me and asked what kind of New Year’s Eve party ended at 11 o’clock and the rest is history. We dated for nearly 5 years before he popped the question last February, the day before my 27th birthday.
