Beach Engagement Shoot

While I get everything ready for The wedding post of Ryan and Liz, here is another amazing shoot for you. Junshien Photography is one of my favorites due to the use of color and composition. And kudos to the girl who decided to wear that purple color. It's by far my favorite color for an engagement shoot!

Music: music lovers can definitely appreciate incorperating records into their engagement shoot. Pick a record of a song the two of you love to add a romantic touch that is meaningful but still fun.

Fun and Flirty colors: Colors are super important to the engagement shoot. Picking cute props like these which enhance the colors you are wearing just makes the photo that much better. Find some cute areas and add in lots of flirty colors.

What props are you using?? Fun, flirty, romantic, all of the above??

Speaking of Engagement Sessions...

Today let's talk about engagement shoots! I love these shoots as it is a candid way for a couple to capture fun moments of the two of them. There are so many ways to make this shoot interesting, creative and fun. Wardrobe, location and props can play a major part in this shoot and the end result. With a quick wardrobe change, you are suddenly creating a whole different style of photo. Change the scenery and the composition of the space will be different, allowing you to change up the feel of the shoot, go from flirty to romantic, to editorial. Oh and props! This is the easiest and my far the most fun way to change up the shoot! Literally anything can be a prop. This is a way to incorporate fun things to your engagement shoot, but can also be a way to add something that is meaningful to the two of you!

I'm obsessed with each and everyone of these photos

I am going to do mine shortly and I am trying to figure out what props, wardrobe and locations to use! I want a really awesome engagement shoot that really expresses us as a couple. I want ample outfits and lots of fun locations! Anyone have location suggestions in the Bay Area??

One idea I had was a restaurant in Napa called Brix. They have vineyards, fountains, lounge seating areas, inside bar, and railroad tracks. I could definitely get all the different "locations" all in one place there! What are your engagement shoot plans??

Inspired Engagement Shoot

Here is another great engagement shoot from Joseph Was Here Photography! Their personal style goes perfectly with the photographers style which I believe is very important if you want to get those perfect shots! Enjoy this engagement shoot! It looks like they had a lot of fun doing this!

Tomorrow I do actually want to bring up the subject of engagement shoot props and how they can really aide the shoot!

Engagement Shoot by Joseph Was Here Photography

I love when engagement shoots, or wedding for that matter, really tell a story. I love when you can feel something from the photographs you are looking at. But something even better, natural and candid shots as opposed to cookie cutter posed shots! When you find a couple that is incredibly in love, getting those candid shots becomes a walk in the park because you can just feel the love they have for each other. This couple really does it for me in that regard! The incredible love they have for each other is portrayed perfectly through this engagement shoot. Jeff is currently serving for the Armed Forces and Jennifer is just adorable!

Thanks so much to Joseph Was Here Photography for this incredible shoot!

Below she is running up to him to jump on his back. Such a cute little series!

The last photo is my favorite!

Gorgeous Engagement Shoot

The other day I said, "I have a major vendor crush right now and I am so giddy!" Well, this guy and his incredible work are the sources of my giddiness! Sometimes you come across incredibly artistic individuals who really get it. Aaron Shintako pushes what "photography" is made to be and he goes t that extra mile to capture the real emotion of the couple. He really communicates the love through his work. The composition of the photo is just gorgeous. I am saying all of this from a few e-mails, looking at his website and watching, yes watching, his amazing About Me video. Oh and first impression wise, he got me by playing my all time favorite artist on his website :) But these are all just first impressions until you really see what he can do!

Love the scene, the wine glasses, the dress-wow, I'm definitely in love with this shoot!

Definitely helps the photographer when you have an incredibly gorgeous couple like this!

This is just a beyond incredible engagement shoot! The colors, the angles, the everything, it doesn't get any more rich than this! Thanks to Aaron for letting me show off this incredible engagement shoot. He is definitely on my list of photographers I wish I could have!

Summer and Boyd Engagement Session

Today we are super excited to show an engagement shoot for Summer and Boyd, a featured vendor of our site. So that you don't become skeptical about what featured vendor means, I will let you in on the story. After looking over their site, I fell in love with Summer and Boyd. I love the soft colors they use and the composition is phenomenal. When you find something as amazing as their photography, you want everyone to know about it. Hence why I created the "featured" vendor because I thought their work was so incredible, it should be shown off!

This engagement shoot is absolutely no exception!

As I said, the composition is just incredible. Check out Summer and Boyd for more eye candy :)
