I'm loving this baseball-inspired engagement shoot with an adorable little mascot. Photographer Caught You On Camera captured this lovely couple enjoying themselves and a favorite sport of theirs. From the photographer: "Christine & Josh, both lovers of baseball, had an amazing idea for their engagement session! Their inspiration: "Field of Dreams" & "The Sandlot"!! They dressed the part right down to Christine's P.F. Flyers & even had their pup, Hank, play the part of "The Beast." They will be using these images to make vintage baseball cards to send out as their Save The Dates!"
Vintage-Inspired Love Shoot
Loving this vintage-inspired shoot. I love that the couple had a totally different approach to "vintage" and how that resonates to the couple. The wonderful Weber Photography by Wes + Liz shot this lovely couple in all their glory. Talk about a fun day on a photo shoot, this couple look like two great people to hang with!
Cozy Winter Engagement Photos + Dress Update!
First of all, an update for all you followers out there… I chose the dress!! I went whimsical and am so incredibly excited. I brought another bridesmaid back to the shop where I had originally seen the dress, to try to get a different perspective. I looked in the mirror and realized that I could search all over the state of California and not find anything that comes close to this dress. So (after a minor panic attack) I said, “let’s do it!” I’m really happy and excited about the decision! And now that I can stop thinking about (ok, obsessing over) the dress, I can think about other exciting things…
…Like our engagement photos! We’re taking them this weekend with Ken Kienow, in San Luis Obispo, California.
We booked Ken this fall and scheduled our shoot for the first weekend that we were all free. However, I was a little bit bummed that we wouldn’t be taking them in warm weather. I think I had always imagined taking photos on a warm and sun-kissed day.
Then, I realized how adorable a cozy fall or winter inspired shoot could be. There is something so romantic about this time of year, cuddling up with your honey and sipping coffee on a rainy day.
So we’re taking photos at a coffee shop and I’m really excited to capture that romance!
Here’s some cozy engagement shoot inspiration.

And this is the sweater I bought from J. Crew. How perfect is this?!
Anyone else do winter-themed engagement photos?
Balloons, Cupcakes & Izze, Oh My!
Balloons and cupcakes and Izze, oh my! Such as loveably fun engagement shoot here. I always talk about the love I have for engagement photo props, so this is a fun one that adds a bit of personality and a lot of love. Enjoy this outdoor shoot of two high school sweethearts. Thanks to the awesome Jennifer Baumann Photography for this engagement session.
Campfire Engagement Shoot
I'm loving this adorable campfire engagement shoot by the wonderful Velvet Owl Photography. This couple took their love to the wilderness along with the essentials for an incredibly romantic night complete with a photographer to document the beauty. I'll leave it to the photos to show off just how awesome this session is, just darling.
Love On The Beach
My fiance, Dan, and I met on a boat, {and he grew up on the Jersey shore} so, it seemed only fitting that we incorporate a nautical element into our wedding. We decided on a nautical themed engagement shoot and I immediately began scouring the internet for inspiration.
After much planning and multiple emails to and from our fabulous photographer, Amanda, we made the shoot come to life.

{The Details} The shoot took place on a little island off the Jersey shore. The lifesaver was a styrofoam one I found on the internet, that I was able to stencil with supplies purchased from a craft store. I searched everywhere for a blue and white beach ball and eventually located this one online, which worked perfectly! I knew I wanted to recreate the running shot from my original inspiration, as I am a runner and Dan incorporated an element of my love for running into his proposal. I think our photographer captured my inspiration perfectly and I love how we were able to include Dan's family's boat into the shoot!
A Bicycle Made For Two - Engagement by Sara Lucero
I definitely appreciate fun style and amazing love between a couple and these two just brighten up the whole day. You might remember the photographer of this lovely shoot from her most incredible Vintage-Themed Carnival bridal shower I posted a month back. Well this lovely photographer is back for more, a lot more! And photographer Sara Lucero sums these photos up best, "I was so impressed when i saw these two walking towards me the day of their shoot! THOSE OUTFITS! Stripes! Bow ties! TUTU! Hello! And their big beaming smiles are out of this world. When Monique & Ernie's friends saw these photos they all said "SO YOU GUYS!". Isn't that the main goal for a photographer? Absolute heaven. :)"
Travel Inspired Engagement by Cluney Photography
I just love when brides send over their engagement sessions. Hearing about all the lively details, their favorite parts, and how they achieved the look is just so fun. I love the styling of the shoot and the travel theme the two put together. And her style, is just awesome! The lovely photographer was Cluney Photography who is definitely coming a new favorite of mine. Oh and check out the cute blog by this bride, Threadesque!
Carnival Engagement Session by Sarina Love
The color trends of the year are leaning towards bright, bold and awesome! And I just happen to be a very huge fan of all the texture, prints and bold colors, especially for fall. That is what I love so much about this session. The bright awesome colors just suck you right in and make you happy. Sarina Love Photography was the wonder behind this lovely shoot.
Colorful Day-After Bridal Shoot
Not often do I see Trash The Dress shoots that really just blow me away. This one I love because it is similar to the concept of an engagement shoot mixed with a wedding dress shoot. Oh how I just loved putting on my wedding dress over and over again :) I definitely should have done a day-after shoot when there was more time to really have a moment. Oh and I am just dying for these florals!
