Classic Folktale Winery Wedding

Margeaux & Bowman are the cutest southern couple you have ever met! They met in college and had the most adorable love story. Pairing Margeaux, and her impeccable aesthetic, with the right vendor team was crucial in the planning process. We curated a day that felt very much them, and it paired perfectly with the French Chateau inspired Folktale Winery venue in Carmel Valley. The intimate Vineyard house is one of my favorite venues for smaller scale guest lists, seating 80 people perfectly on the patio.

The bride wore a tulle shrug for her ceremony to accompany her strapless gown.

Our seating chart fountain was the focal point of cocktail area. We collaborated with Max Gill to build this on site.

we planned to match our cake design to the couple's family heirlooms in sterling silver.

We love to work at Folktale Winery, with the diverse food and wine program, and the endless photo areas being a few of our favorite reasons. This venue also makes a perfect welcome party or rehearsal location.

Snapshots

Booking season is upon us, huh? So many brides are planning so far in advance, I guess that is how to do it these days. 2014 is always quickly filling up, and oh wait, some 2015 brides on the books? Oh ya. These past few weeks of summer have been madness and it is only going to get more exciting when I gear up for way too many weddings in definitely not enough weeks. I'm couldn't be more excited. While things get in order, I thought I'd share a few recent snapshots from Instagram. I'll be posting more photos of this soon, but last week I was showering one of my besties. Her wedding is a few short weeks away!

I've been doing site visit after site visit and this time I was taking through amazing redwood trees. Can't beat California. Just saying.

I had a weekend off, so I decided to throw a little dinner party of my own. Complete with wrapped breads and some amazing Linnea Carta napkins.

I topped off the weekend picking up brass candle sticks from my favorite florist Floral Theory. I could just sit and stare at her collection all day. Luckily we narrowed down the 30 we are bringing to Italy to dot the tablescape.

I hope you all are enjoying this weather more than I am. I just can't wait for some boots, fires in the fireplace, and to get all wrapped up in a blanket. I'm definitely ready for fall....or rather Indian Summer followed by the 50 degree days we like to call Winter.

Peach Wedding Inspiration by Carlie Statsky + Engaged & Inspired Events

-0001

During the off season I was excited to jump into some design work that was just for fun as opposed to for a specific client. Together with Carlie Statsky and Floral Theory, we created some wedding inspiration magic on a beautiful sunny day in Carmel Valley (It was actually my two year wedding anniversary!). I picked Holman Ranch as the venue because of all the amazing awe-worthy locations the property holds.

I feel like coral goes so well with the beauty of Holman Ranch and wanted to create a sophisticated type of rustic wedding that brides could actually achieve. This is the result! The gorgeous lace dress was from Haute Bride in Los Gatos and Melissa Hoffman did the best job with the model's hair & makeup. The amazing Mariko of Bee Curious Designs made the most perfect signs to match the coral bar I designed as well as a sorbet station. For my services, portfolio, and all that other goodness, Engaged & Inspired Events is my planning & design site.

Ranch Engagement Session by Jason & Anna Photography

I'm off to Italy in September on account of these two trusting me to plan their amazing Italian destination wedding. And I really couldn't be more excited for them! Before this engagement shoot we went shopping quite a few times trying to find the perfect outfits to fit the ranch scene. I'm loving everything we picked! I was very excited to see their engagement session as a taste of what is to come on their wedding day. The location is a friend's ranch, which also happens to be the same location he proposed! Jason & Anna Photography really kicked it up a notch with this shoot. I CAN NOT wait for them to work their magic in Italy. Get ready guys, this is going to blow you away.

Holman Ranch Courtyard Styled Shoot

holman-ranch-1 A month ago I had the privilege of doing a photoshoot at my favorite spot, Holman Ranch. In the coming months I'll be sharing all 4 (YES FOUR) shoots from that day, but here is a little glimpse of what we put together for the day. So many talented people helped me put together tons of wonderful details for this shoot. This Love of Yours Photography did such a wonderful job capturing these details and this gorgeous couple!

Colorful Place Setting

colorful-table-7 I've been having a ball playing around with place settings recently. (Did you see my spring-inspired place setting?) Today's setting is a little vintage, a little colorful and one of my faves to date. Thanks to the fabulous Jason & Anna Photography for shooting these gorgeous images.

Don't you love those forks? They are one of my favorite Antique Faire finds. I lugged an entire set around the faire for hours and hour before I finally got them home! I bring them out for fancy parties :)

Umba Box Dinner by Engaged & Inspired

A few weeks back during Alt Summit I had the chance to style a dinner with 20 Alt Summit attendees for Umba Box. We chose their branding colors, Navy Blue + Coral, and went with some fun handmade details to reflect their brand. Umba Box is a subscription service featuring a box of handmade goodies sent to your door each month. They do all the work scouring the internet for the best handmade goods for you. Amazing right? Check them out.

Florals were supplied by Sarah Winward an amazing Salt Lake City floral designer. I designed the menu and painted the edges to add some color.

I also handmade the place cards for each guest. I'll be sharing the DIY on these on the Umba Box blog in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for that.

Good food and good times were had by all! It was a great way to start out the Alt Summit experience and I am so happy I was able to be a part of making this space special for the guests. Thanks Umba Box for allowing me to be a part and thanks to Sarah Winward to producing the fabulous flowers for the event.

{Real E&I Wedding} Henry Miller Library Wedding

Back in September I had the extreme pleasure of working with Matt & Jamie on their Henry Miller Library wedding. In a world of frill and fluff I so loved the chance to work with such down-to-earth people at this amazing location in Big Sur. The fresh air and gorgeous sunlight gleaming through the trees created a perfect setting for these two to tie the knot.

Amoraduro Photography captured the day perfectly. Thanks so much to Matt & Jamie for allowing me to part of your day! I was perfect.

Black, White & Gold Brunch with Sarah Seven

Sarah Seven invited a group of the best bloggers in the industry to brunch to preview her ready-to-wear collection along with her newest bridal collection. With a 25 person guest list, we set out to create an intimate space with plenty of details, yummy food, great conversation and of course a whole bunch of girls swooning (and instragraming) each and every part of it!

Sarah's words to me were "I want to host a brunch. I want striped tablecloths" From there my mind went wild with the black, white and gold color palette and I created everything from the invites, to the menus. The amazing Floral Theory rocked the flowers with some brass goblets and gorgeous peonies. Milkglass Vintage Rentals brought the pretty with mix-matched chairs, an amazing linen lounge set and some fabulous details to decorate the space. And of course, Megan Clouse did an incredible job documenting all the gorgeous work and the great time had by all.

Thanks a million to Sarah Seven for bringing everyone together, I think I speak for us all by saying that your designs are incredible and inspire such a feminine, effortless look. Just want until you see all the gorgeous pieces from Sarah's Ready-To-Wear and Fall 2013 Bridal collections! You'll die!
